FROM PURDEY'S. 63. PALL MALL. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON.', and with gold-inlaid '1' at the breech-end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip actions, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' & '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, removable striker discs, best acanthus scroll and floral bouquet engraving signed 'WILLIAM EVANS FROM PURDEY'S. LONDON.' in scrolling banners, bright and re-blued finish, 14 1/2in. stocks (no.2 a replacement), bolstered fore-ends engraved at the knuckles '1' & '2', weight 5lb. 15oz., in their makers brass-cornered double guncase
